Chienhwe is a contemporary ballet based dancer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance degree from The Ailey School/Fordham University. She performed with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater as a student for 3 years in their annual City Center season, performed works by Ronald K. Brown, Paul Taylor, Francesca Harper, was chosen by Alonzo King of Lines Ballet to attend his yearly professional workshop, stumbled into the Top 100 of So You Think You Can Dance, and has travelled all over the states and across the globe to Hong Kong to teach, choreograph and perform. Most recently in Boston, you may see her on the stage dancing to the original and creative minds of The Pillow Men, in the melting pot extravaganza of Tabula Rasa Multidisciplinary Experiment, and at her very own intimate performance platform party called Soul Sessions. After over twenty years of teaching, Chienhwe has transitioned into accepting private students using her Forrest Yoga Teacher Training Foundation, her dance degree, and studies in martial arts to train students into healing, embodiment, integration and expression of the highest self. Chienhwe is also an initiate of the Modern Mystery School.
